Plantronics EarBud Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone, 2.5mm Plug
I use this for my new LG Rumor phone, which does not get clear calls on to begin with. Anyone that I’ve left a voicemail for using this handsfree piece complained about not being able to decipher what was said. I stopped using this after a day.

I bought this to use with my landline phone, but it won’t plug into it. The plug in is too small.
I may not be versed when it comes to electronics, but it seems that if they would just mention SOMEWHERE that it is for cell phones, for those of us that use landlines phones, it would be helpful. I am contacting the seller to see if there is an adapter that could be used.
If I get an adapter, I will revise this review to let people know what they will need.

I haven’t tried this headset with a cell phone, just a wireless home phone, and it was disappointing. Everyone that I spoke to while using the headset reported that I sounded very far away. If your searching for a headset, don’t end your search with this one.

Seems that my LG CU500 thinks this is not a headset, as it gives a different graphic for this vs. other headsets when plugged in.
I could hear others well, but they could barely hear me. Not just bad quality sound, but totally unusable. Speakerphone works better, and my 10 year old headset that shipped with my Panasonic cordless phone (that’s a landline phone, folks) has stepped in for car duty.
Ended up in the trash since I lost the original packaging

I’ve had a Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset for a couple of years now, but because the battery lasts so long, I tend forget to charge it when it does die and then go without. Plus, I carry both a work and a personal cell phone, so what, am I supposed to wear a headset in each ear? A new hands-free cell phone law just went into effect in Washington and I was hoping a wired headset would solve two problems: no battery to worry about and I could switch it between phones.
I decided to stick with Plantronics and ordered this, even though I was skeptical considering the low price. Unlike other headsets I’ve tried, this one didn’t come with different sized earbuds for the part that fits in the ear. I usually use the smallest size and now realize that ability to switch is a must have feature. The size of the circular piece that goes in the ear is huge on this headset. It just didn’t fit–I could not even wedge it in my ear. I tried on the drive home yesterday to wear it anyway, but it took forever to get it positioned so that it kind of worked (necessitating use of two hands, which in my opinion negates the purpose of the hands-free cell phone law). Plus, despite the fact that the clear rubber piece that goes behind the ear seems pretty flexible, my ear did not agree. After a few minutes, I felt like I had a clothes pin attached to my ear pinching and cutting off the circulation.
So overall, this headset was exceptionally uncomfortable and I’m returning it. Also, I didn’t notice until I tried to plug this in that my work cell doesn’t use a 2.5 mm plug, so it only worked on my personal cell anyway.
